Behind the Lens: House of Rout's Toronto Event Photography at Danforth Mosaic BIA

That's exactly what we got to capture as the official event photography and videography team for Danforth Mosaic BIA's 15 Days of Sidewalk Celebrations, and it might just be some of our favourite work all year.

• Pomarosa filled the street with Venezuelan music, a live band, and a crowd that couldn't stop singing along

• Mary's Brigadeiro brought Brazilian music, handcrafted chocolates, and sweet moments worth savouring

• La Famiglia and East Toronto Coffee kept the neighbourhood warm with Greek music, coffee, and donuts

• Cafe Juventus turned into a full on dance party with a father son duo covering everything from Lady Gaga to the classics

• El Rincón Guerrerense celebrated Mexican and Cuban culture through music, cheese, and traditional treats

• C'C's Bar and Grill hosted a Pride celebration filled with live music and community pride

And beyond the sidewalk celebrations, we've had the honour of documenting deeply meaningful community moments too, like the 2 Spirited People of the First Nations event, where members of the community shared stories, beading art, wild rice, and fresh strawberry juice. As having Métis and Cree ancestors ourselves, capturing that day held a special kind of significance for us, and we approached it with the care and respect it deserved.
